Exam 2 will cover Chapters 4 and 5 (Linear Spaces, Orthogonality and Least Squares) of Bretscher (any edition). As always, one can work problems from the text for additional practice.

The following problem sets include problems that are different from any problmes we have considered in class; you may disregard those problems. In particular, the only “find a matrix…” problems for which you are responsible will be of the form “find an orthogonal projection matrix.”
