Exams

Including our final, there will be a total of four exams that determine the course grade.

• Exam 1 (25 pts), Tuesday, September 24
• Exam 2 (25 pts), Tuesday, October 22
• Exam 3 (25 pts), Tuesday, November 19
• Final (40 pts), Thursday, December 19, 9am-Noon (projected)

Please discuss other conflicts with me in advance of the exam in question. Missed exams will become grades of zero.

Under extenuating circumstances, exams can be postponed. Postponed exams must be completed within six working days (by Oct 2, Oct 30, and Nov 27 respectively). Such arrangements are to be given the same respect that the rest of the class gives the regular exam. For a postponed exam, students may make a single appointment to take the makeup exam, which cannot be changed, canceled or missed. That appointment becomes your alternate exam date and time.

Graded exams will be returned at the beginning of the following class, and are available for pickup after each class. I bring graded exams back and forth to class, but I do not bring graded exams back and forth to my office. Exams cannot be picked up in office hours until the following semester. Please come to class.
