This put me and the group I was traveling with somewhere in between Dirkou and Bilma, about at the center of the shadow seen in this picture:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.math.columbia.edu\/~woit\/niger-shadow.jpg\" alt=\"Eclipse Shadow\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At some point I may post some links to other pictures.  In a day or so after I deal with a couple hundred e-mails we&#8217;ll return to your regularly scheduled programming.<\/p>\n<p><b>Update<\/b>:  Fred Bruenjes was at the same eclipse camp in Niger, and has a report on the eclipse <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moonglow.net\/eclipse\/2006mar29\/index.shtml\">here<\/a>.
