There&#8217;s an extensive <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2005\/03\/07\/science\/08cnd-bethe.html\">obituary<\/a> in the New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>I believe Bethe was the last remaining figure still alive from the generation of physicists who came of age with the new quantum mechanics during the mid-to-late 1920s.
