Formatting Requirements

MRL's .cls class file for LaTeX, mrlart7.cls, can be found here.


  1. The following header should begin the working .tex file:


      \documentclass{mrlart7}
      \def\volno{18}
      \def\yrno{2011}
      \def\issueno{00}
      \setcounter{page}{10001}
      \def\lpageno{100NN} %temporary numbers
      %%replace NN with the pagelength of the paper%%
      \overfullrule=5pt


    Other LaTeX commands that alter page dimensions such as \setwidth and \setlength should not be present.

  2. Each author must provide an email address and mailing address using the following commands in the heading:


      \address{department \\ school \\ mailing location}

      \email{email address}

      %%optional:  \curaddr{current address}%%
       %%optional:  \urladdr{website address}%%

  3. Proofs should usually be contained within the proof environment


      \begin{proof}
      %%body of proof%%
      \end{proof}

    Otherwise, proofs must be ended with the \qed command.
     
  4. All acknowledgements must be contained in an un-numbered section as such:

     
      \section*{Acknowledgements}
      %%acknowledgements here%%

    and must appear as the last section before the bibliography.

One way to invoke mrl.bst is to have the file in the current working directory and use the following command:


  \bibliographystyle{mrl}
