{"id":3815,"date":"2014-07-24T17:00:27","date_gmt":"2014-07-24T17:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/math.columbia.edu\/~dejong\/wordpress\/?p=3815"},"modified":"2014-07-24T17:00:27","modified_gmt":"2014-07-24T17:00:27","slug":"sloganerator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.math.columbia.edu\/~dejong\/wordpress\/?p=3815","title":{"rendered":"Sloganerator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pbelmans.wordpress.com\/\">Pieter Belmans<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.math.ru.nl\/~jcommelin\/\">Johan Commelin<\/a> have added a bunch of new features to the Stacks project website:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Nested enumerations are now displayed correctly; <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/tag\/08KV\">this lemma<\/a> is an example.<\/li>\n<li>Outside references are more visible; <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/tag\/0AFU\">this lemma<\/a> has one.<\/li>\n<li>Footnotes are now displayed as footnotes; <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/tag\/07E7\">this section<\/a> has four footnotes.<\/li>\n<li>They have implemented a system for historical remarks; <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/tag\/00DV\">Nakayama&#8217;s lemma<\/a> is currently the only tag which has a historical remark.<\/li>\n<li>They have implemented a system for slogans; <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/tag\/080P\">these<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/tag\/0ADD\">lemmas<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/tag\/0AEJ\">are<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/tag\/0ADV\">examples<\/a> (look at the top underneath the header and breadcrumb).<\/li>\n<li>They have written the <a href=\"http:\/\/stacks.math.columbia.edu\/slogans\">sloganerator<\/a>; click or read below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Huge thanks for all the work put into this by Pieter and Johan.<\/p>\n<p>What is the sloganerator? Roughly, it gives you a random result from the Stacks project and asks you to type in a slogan describing the result. Your suggestion will become a comment on the tag&#8217;s page the Stacks project website. In due time we will then add the slogan to the actual Stacks project and you slogan will become visible as in the examples above.<\/p>\n<p>The idea of having &#8220;slogans&#8221; or &#8220;human readable&#8221; descriptions of the results in the Stacks project has been around for a while. See <a href=\"http:\/\/math.columbia.edu\/~dejong\/wordpress\/?p=3643\">this blog post<\/a> and follow the links to the older blog posts.
