Abstract:

Starting from some concrete problem we shall explain how the problem of Homogenization in symplectic geometry appears in a natural way. The construction of the Homogenization operator involves some deep question of symplectic topology. It also has applications to different questions from dynamical systems to Hamilton-Jacobi equations.
