his abscence, we'd be happy to consider running a letter to the
editor on this subject, if you'd care to

There is generally a 100-word limit on letters, it would have
arrive in timely fashion, of course, and I couldn't guarantee
that we could run it. But, again,  we'd       
certainly be happy to consider it.
