Reduced Genus-One Gromov-Witten Invariants - - Aleksey Zinger

I will describe a "part" of the standard genus-one GW-invariant that possesses key geometric properties of the genus-zero invariant. In particular, the reduced ivvariant (in constrast to the standard one) counts genus-one curves in P^n without any genus-zero contribution. Furthermore, there is a natural relation between the new invariants of a complete intersection and of the ambient projective space (not satisfied by the standard genus-one invariants). As the modified genus-one invariants differ from the standard ones by a genus-zero contribution, this relation givesa way of computing the standard genus-one GW-invariants of complete intersections.
