The Basics:
Warning: This site is still being transferred from its previous home back at Penn.
I recently graduated with a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania. I'm now an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow here at Columbia. While I was a graduate student, I worked under the supervision of John Etnyre. Here's a copy of my Curriculum Vitae for anyone who's interested.
Research: My interests generally lie in the realm of low-dimensional topology and geometry. I'm particularly interested in contact geometry, knot theory, differential geometry, and how these topics all interact with one another.
Teaching: Presently I'm a grader for Dragos Deliu's Math 114 class. Last Fall 2008, I TAed for the brand new Honors Calculus class at Penn. The course was taught by David Harbater, and shaped up to be a wonderful course.
