Midterm Exam: The midterm exams are on Tuesday, March 4 and Tuesday, April 8. Make-ups will not be given for the midterm exams. Students can only be excused from the midterms because of serious illness or a family emergency of comparable gravity. To be excused you will need a note from your doctor or dean.
Final Exam: Thursday, May 15, 1:10-4pm
Homework: Homework will be assigned every class and due the next class. The assignments will be announced below. You must hand in your homework at the beginning of each class. Late homework will NOT be accepted. The twenty best scores on homework will be counted toward the final grade.
Grading: The course grade is apportioned as follows: Final exam 40%; each midterm exam 20%; twenty best homework grades 20%.
