Welcome

Welcome to the Alumni Association for the Masters in Mathematics with Specialization in Math of Finance at Columbia University.

Now in its sixth year, the program continues to attract mathematically talented individuals who wish to apply their abilities to finance. There are currently over 100 alumni of the program, who work or study in such fields as derivatives valuation, risk management, investment management, trading, hedge funds, corporate finance, investment banking, and insurance.

We hope to use this website as a springboard to launch an active MAFIN alumni community, including social get-togethers, quantitative lectures, career networking, and continued interaction with faculty.

Please browse the various pages of this website, and visit our discussion forum and events calendar.

If you are an alumnus, we ask that you sign up for our MAFIN Alumni e-mailing list. The list is a distribution list for alumni that we will use to send out annoucements of our various events. The list can also be used by its members to reach the other members.

We encourage both students and alumni to register for the MAFIN forums. The forums are intended as a place for communication among alumni and current MAFIN students.

Please let us know what suggestions you have by contacting us via maalums at math.columbia.edu. We hope you will be able to attend one of the upcoming events.

Best regards,

The Columbia Math of Finance Alumni Association
