Virtually fibering surgeries on one component of the Whitehead link

Abstract:

We show that every surgery on one component of the Whitehead link is virtually fibered, while "most" are not fibered. This provides what appear to be the first known examples of non-fibered, virtually fibered knots in the three-sphere.
