Textbook J. Stewart, Calculus (early transcendentals), 6th edition, Brooks/Cole.
Quiz and Exam There are weekly 35 minuntes in-class quiz on every Tuesday except the first week. NO makeups for missed quizzes, however one quiz with the lowest grade will be dropped.

Final Exam:
July 3rd Thursday 1:00pm — 3:00 pm   MATH 520

Homework There are weekly homework assignments. Students are encouraged to discuss the homework with other students, but should write their solutions individually.
Grade The course grades will be computed as follows:
quiz 30% + homework 30% + final exam 40%
Calculator Calculators, in particular graphing calculators, are not required for this course. If you have one, you are welcome to use it when you do your homework or practice. However, calculators will not be allowed during any quiz or exam.
Help You can send me email or come to my office during the office hour for any trouble with homework or lecture material. You may also take advantage of the Math Help Room (406 Mathematics Building).
