Giroux's torsion and the contact invariant

Giroux's torsion is an invariant of contact 3-manifolds which measures
how much the contact planes rotate in the neighbourhood of an embedded
torus. I will describe how Giroux's torsion is reflected by the
contact invariant in Heegaard Floer homology.
