Many mathematics graduate students offer tutoring services on a one-on-one
basis. Many have significant tutoring experiences, with tutees ranging from high school
students to undergraduate students and to graduate students in other disciplines.
The hourly fees vary from student to student, depending on the number of hours
needed and the topics to be covered.

Columbia Mathematics department graduate students who wish to be contacted
through this mailing list should contact Peter
Woit to have their names added to the list.
This web page is set up as a service to the graduate students, who offer their
services as private individuals. The Department of Mathematics does not officially
offer tutoring services and does not take part in negotiations or disputes related
to tutoring. The Department of Mathematics and Columbia University bear no responsibility
for the tutoring services, their content, or outcome.
For another option, one with no connection whatsoever to the Mathematics Department, there's the Columbia University Tutoring and Translating Agency.
