Abstract:

The theory of homogenization of degenerate elliptic partial differential equations including Hamilton-Jacobi, degenerate Bellman and fully nonlinear second-order equations has attracted considerable attention.
In the lecture I will like to introduce  the general problem, describe some concrete applications, and discuss some of the recent results.
