The 4th Columbia-JAFEE Conference for Mathematical Finance and Financial Engineering

PREVIOUS COLUMBIA-JAFEE CONFERENCES

The JAFEE (Japanese Association of Financial Econometrics and Engineering) and Columbia University are pleased to announce the 4th Columbia-JAFEE International Conference for Mathematical Finance and Financial Engineering.

Date: December 16-17, 2000
Place: Diichi Life Insurance Hall at Tokyo, Japan
Language: English and Japanese (simultaneous translation will be provided for English speakers and Japanese speakers)

The 1st Columbia-JAFEE Conference was held to celebrate the launching of the new Master's course at Columbia University and a friendship relation between JAFEE and Columbia University. Since then there have been 3 conferences held at Columbia University to promote Mathematical Finance and Financial Engineering.

This year the 4th Conference will be held in Japan to provide a forum for communication among academics and practitioners in these areas.

Keynote speakers are:
I.Karatzas, J.Cvitanic, C.Chiarellla, E.Jouini, E.Platen, D.Madan, S.Pliska, and T.Zariphopoulou.

Unfortunately we can provide no financial support except for 3 nights' accommodation, though the registration and party charges are waived for speakers.
